What additional information can be obtained in an investigated business credit report compared to a database report?
In principle no difference as database report in fact is an older investigated report, some elements though can be of a more recent date.
What information is compulsory to be filed in China (i.e. Financials / Shareholders / Share Capital / Directors / Management):
All but not all at the registry office; financials need to be submitted to the tax office (tax authorities have no obligation of sharing financial information)
Do business credit reports in China contain negative information? (for example, bankruptcies, court judgments, insolvency details, negative payment history, etc) / yes, investigated reports do contain negative data when applicable), most data is coming from various courts;
When available payment history data will be shown though in China it is very uncommon to share this kind of information.
Are financials details required to be filed in China?
Yes but only with the tax authorities, larger entities might be required to also file Statistics Office.
If yes, how often are financials required to be filed by China?
Yearly by the end of April; extension is possible but no later than the end of October.
What are the penalties if a company fails to file their financials on time?
Dealt with on an individual bases.
Do you provide a monitoring service in China?
Yes, the principle is that it will cost twice the cost of an investigated report; after issuing date of the investigated report, the company will check minimal once per quarter all the data elements of the report; when one or more of these data elements change, the client will be informed. The monitoring ‘contract’ ends 12 months after the issuing date.

No, China has not agreed to the 1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents.
