The Statute of limitation in Paraguay regarding to Commercial rights consists of 4 years. 
If it’s a promissory note with a due date, it must be collected since then and the expiration date for the collection is after 4 years since the due date. Whereas if the promissory note does not have a payment date, it can be collected at any moment and the expiration date to start the legal actions is after 4 years since the emission. 
Paraguay civil litigation statute of limitations is a law that time limits a plaintiff’s right to bring a claim against a defendant. The statute of limitations in Paraguay is 4 years. However, if an action has been taken within this time then the statute of limitations time will be extended to account for this. Once the specified time period elapses then no action can be taken through the legal processes unless the plaintiff is able to prove exceptional circumstances.
