Malta Public Holiday - Sette Giugno

Tuesday 7th June 2022 is a National Holiday in Malta so our local partner’s office in Malta will be closed on this day. Their offices will open again on Wednesday 8th June 2022. 

 

This day, known as "Sette Giugno" commemorates the tragic historical event when lives were lost during the riots on 7th June 1919. The Maltese had revolted against the British colonial government demanding a representative government in order to address the poor economic and political state of the country. 

 

As per tradition, the Speaker of Representatives, Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition as well as Members of Parliament participate in a remembrance ceremony.
